Continual training
Just as we want to enable our clients to fulfil their ambitions, so too we want to encourage our people to build careers and develop their expertise. We understand the need to ensure that people get the training and development they need to reach their full potential. In recognition of the quality of learning and development at Vantis, both ICAEW and ACCA have awarded Vantis approved employer status for our post qualification programmes. We don’t just want people who are technically excellent. Our dedicated learning and development function is tasked to ensure that the right opportunities are available to support the growth of our people. Several programmes are in place to support this. These include:
Induction
We aim to make our new team members feel at home from day one both in their role and as a valuable member of the Vantis “family”. As part of the induction process, we will introduce you to other new joiners to Vantis at our monthly corporate induction days. The day is very thorough, with lots of information given to you about Vantis and the way we work and IT training on some of our bespoke products. The training will equip you with the tools necessary to get you up and running quickly so that you can feel confident about making a valuable contribution at an early stage. You soon create a network of other new joiners that you can turn to within Vantis.
Trainee positions
At Vantis, we take the training of our students very seriously. We offer a number of trainee positions for school leavers and graduates across a wide range of areas. We ensure that trainees receive the high quality teaching and development they need in order to pass their professional examinations and to work effectively as business advisers. Study leave is provided and students are allocated a student mentor whose job it is to support trainees through their studies. For more information, click here.
Mentoring
We believe that by sharing the experiences of our most senior people around the business, our employees will benefit from their life-time learning. Our mentors provide a supportive framework that fosters personal growth based on trust and respect, and encourages others to consider different options for expanding their horizons while generating greater self-empowerment. Our trainees receive mentoring and those people on the Steps 2 Success programmes are likely to have more practical one to one coaching support.
Steps 2 Success
We have created a unique career development tool for our team members. The Steps 2 Success programmes are run in-house by a dedicated learning and development team who liaise closely with key senior people within Vantis. Technical training
An in-house Continuing Professional Development programme (CPD, which is the continuous maintenance, development and enhancement of the professional and personal knowledge and skills) is in place to meet the technical training needs of our professionals. Specialist external courses are also available through our training company associates.
Professional qualifications
We encourage and support those who wish to take relevant professional qualifications that will help them in their current or future roles.
IT training
IT is essential to our business. We put the latest technology into the hands of our people to enable them to provide first class service to clients as effectively and efficiently as possible. We have a dedicated team of IT specialists that manage all our IT requirements and remedy problems via an IT support line. All of our IT training is provided in-house on a wide range of areas including specialist bespoke courses. The courses are offered as group training sessions or on a one to one basis.
Our use of technology to support our business underlines our commitment to quality and excellence, and helps us to provide a flexible working environment for our people, whilst maintaining security and confidentiality for our clients.
